[BLUEJ-1344] JavaFX text overlaps on standard DPI external display on Retina Macs

If you connect a standard-DPI monitor to a high-DPI Mac, the text gets rendered wrongly in Catalina onwards. The text gets drawn with overlapping character glyphs, see e.g. the "u" and "e" of BlueJ below:

This is due to a bug in JavaFX, currently marked down as being fixed in OpenJFX 17:
